History
The company started in January 2000 with one employee and no clients, but with a unique philosophy to change the way that medical aid consulting was offered to clients, that was believed would add genuine value to members and their employers alike.
It took more then a year to research and develop a unique servicing methodology to match our guiding principles and our empowerment philosophy, however today we have a unique and sustainable healthcare consulting model that adds value to our members and their employers.
The company was started by Rob Immelman CFP, having left a major consulting company at the end of 1999. Drawing on his 13 years of financial services expertise and importantly his experiences within the corporate consulting environment in the latter 1990’s, Rob initiated and gave birth to our basic philosophy and guiding principles.
Qualified and experienced in many facets of financial services from banking, stock market portfolio management, individual financial planning through to corporate consulting, Rob has a diverse exposure to providing solutions to members and corporate clients in a wide spectrum of financial disciplines. It is his varied exposure and wealth of experience that has helped Rob to lead our company from inception to June 2009 and the formation of the MEMP Group of Companies, when Charl Froneman took over as Managing Director of MEMP Financial Services (Pty) Ltd (MFS). Rob is still an active Director within MFS but now also fills the role of Chief Executive Officer of the Group of Companies.
In June 2009 formal association agreements were entered into with an additional two financial services companies to provide a wider range of financial services to our existing and potential new clients. Along with our existing associates the Group of Companies now encompasses 5 independent organisations all bound by a common code of conduct and the same Group Philosophy, Guiding Principles and our Unique Servicing Methodology.
What was once a single focused healthcare consulting company based in Port Elizabeth 10 years ago has become a unified and dynamic team of financial services organisations, providing a wide range of services and expertise to members and clients across the entire country.
